My point is that the Times is biased-- they wanted to crush this movement form the beginning, which is why they either ignored us or ridiculed us. Now the movement is too big and popular for them to continue that posture, and so they have to pretend to sympathize with us or else risk becoming irrelevant.

I don't understand. Are you honestly trying to argue that the Times is biased because it criticizes Occupy without doing anything on its own to fix alleged problems?

Is it not the job of unbiased media to report without being involved?

The top 1% are paying 38% of total revenues in this country and the top 10% are paying 70% of revenues. 50% of the American people pay 0% federal income tax... what's up with that? I agree that there is greed in corporate America. In fact, there is greed EVERYWHERE. People are greedy by nature. The government is just as much to blame with there big bailouts, lobbying, and legislation that caters to a minority of people. Occupy Wall-Street is right to protest their frustrations. But to say that the wealth is being horded by the top 1%? I don't think so. Those who are defined as living in poverty in America still have a car, a TV, have air conditioning, own at least a small house, and can put food on the table. That would have been the wealthy 50 years ago. Lets not forget that it was big corporations such as Wal-Mart and Apple that started with one person (Jobs started in his garage and Walton in a tiny little shop). Their hard work led to the creation of millions of jobs. Capitalism is not always a bad thing- when it becomes really corrupt is when the government intervenes and throws off the nature of the free-market- that when businesses no longer supply what the people want, they fail.

Ron Paul's against war, big business and government corruption.
Wonder if many of the 99%ers know this. For real change, they'll need to vote Republican to endorse Dr. Paul.
